Heritage & Museums Case Study - The Henry Moore Foundation
The Henry Moore Foundation is a charity dedicated to preserving and promoting the work of Henry Moore, one of the most influential sculptors of the 20th century. The Foundation plays a crucial role in supporting sculpture education, research, and conservation, as well as managing Moore’s former home and studios.
In September 2022, the Henry Moore Foundation implemented GoodCRM alongside the launch of its new website, aiming to streamline visitor enquiries, applications, and submissions. The system was introduced to efficiently handle a range of processes, including:
Group booking requests for visitors and educational tours.
Venue hire applications for special events.
Artwork authentication enquiries to assist researchers and collectors.
Research fellowship applications for scholars studying Moore’s work.
Calls for papers submissions for academic conferences.
Dissertation prize entries to support emerging researchers in sculpture studies.
By leveraging GoodCRM’s customisable fields and workflows, the Foundation was able to improve efficiency, reduce administrative workload, and centralise data management across its teams.
While the initial implementation was a success, the Henry Moore Foundation and GoodCRM embarked on a new project in 2024 to explore how the CRM could be used to its full potential. The goal was to improve system adoption across teams, increase efficiency by automating key processes and customise the CRM to better fit the Foundation’s evolving needs.
To achieve this, GoodCRM worked closely with the Henry Moore Foundation’s teams through a combination of on-site visits to the Foundation’s Leeds and Hertfordshire sites, and online workshops, ensuring that every department had a voice in shaping how the CRM could be refined.
A major outcome of this project has been the introduction of custom workflows tailored to the Foundation’s specific requirements. These workflows guide staff through structured processes, ensuring consistency in, for example, processing visitor and research enquiries, and managing event bookings and venue hire requests.
The 2024/25 project is laying the foundation for continued collaboration between GoodCRM and the Henry Moore Foundation, ensuring the CRM continues to provide value and support the Foundation’s important work in preserving Henry Moore’s legacy.
